Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) started in 2004 by eminent educational entrepreneur and social activist Dr. Achyuta Samanta. Located in an ultra-modern eco-friendly Wi-Fi campus, KIMS comprises of a 1400 beded medical college hospital, which is one of the biggest in the state of Odisha, and a 200 bed super-specialty hospital, with allied institutes like the Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS) and Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS). KIMS offers MBBS course with an annual intake of 150 medical students and MD/MS (PG Medical) courses in various disciplines.

The 1400 bed super-specialty hospital – Pradyumna Bal Memorial Hospital (PBMH) – provides high quality comprehensive healthcare and medical treatment in a wide range of disciplines to people at affordable cost. The hospital is spread over 60 acre land with 30 lakh sq. ft. built up area.
