85 Cartoons Of Banned Cough Syrup Recovered By Sitamarhi Police

Sitamarhi: Local police have recovered a large quantity of banned cough syrup from CO Office lane of Mehsaul police station area of ​​the city. Police received secret information that a large quantity of cough syrup has been stocked at the said place.

As soon as the information was received, the police took immediate action and raided. Police recovered 85 boxes of Exiplon New Cough Syrup manufactured by Khandelwal Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. during the raid.

About 85 boxes of cough syrup (4200 Bottles) have been recovered from the house of local resident Rahul Kumar Singh alias Monu. However, during the police action, the accused fled from the spot. SDPO Sadar Ram Krishna confirmed the case and said that 85 boxes of cough syrup have been recovered, all the people living in the house where the cough syrup warehouse was built are absconding. All the people involved in this business have been identified. They will be arrested soon.

Meanwhile, local people say that as soon as the people dealing in banned cough syrup got information of the police action, they fled from the spot.

It is worth noting that the craze for drugs among the youth is so much that they do not hesitate to consume banned medicines. The use of these banned Cough syrups for intoxication is increasing rapidly. This is the reason why the business of intoxicating Cough syrup is also flourishing rapidly. People sell Cough syrup under the nose of the police.

In June 2023, the Central Government had issued a notification completely banning the production and sale of many cough syrups, despite this, even today there are many companies who are selling these medicines for their profits.

Cough syrup is used to treat coughs. Doctors usually recommend taking cough syrup in case of cough and cold. It provides relief from allergy symptoms such as runny nose, blocked nose, sneezing, watery eyes and congestion or stiffness, but many medicines under the guise of cough syrup are very harmful for the body, due to which they have been banned.
