AMTZ is Hub of Best Ideas and Innovation- Jayant Choudhary

Vishakhapatnam/ New Delhi:  AMTZ ( Andhra Pradesh Meditech Zone) takes the cake when it comes to size and quality of medical device manufacturing cluster in the world. If Dr APJ Abdul Kalam be the inspiration, icon and the presiding deity, it is cherry on the cake. So, when Jayant Choudhary Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of Education visited the world’s biggest medical Device Park, he being mighty impressed was the natural corollary. Dr. Jitendra Sharma, MD & Founder CEO of AMTZ and nicknamed as MedTech Man of India, got profuse pats on the back.

The Andhra Medtech Zone (AMTZ) commemorated the 93rd birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, a visionary leader whose legacy continues to inspire generations. Gracing the occasion, Jayant Chaudhary delivered an insightful address on the multifaceted nature of leadership in addressing contemporary challenges, calling AMTZ as best hub of ideas and innovation.

Mr Chaudhary emphasized the importance of innovative problem-solving in today’s complex landscape and praised AMTZ as a dynamic platform for cross-disciplinary collaboration, where diverse enterprises can thrive together. “India is a land of tremendous beauty, we have old economy industries right next to us you’ll see chimneys spewing smoke but we also have here a hub of the best ideas and innovation that could be possible in one place India tends to do things well. He commended the organization’s significant contributions to medical technology and innovation, reflecting on the incredible achievements witnessed during his visit’ he remarked.

In his address, Mr Chaudhary highlighted the collaboration between various ministries and applauded the progressive leadership of Andhra Pradesh ’s Chief Minister,  Chandrababu Naidu, who envisioned this project in 2018. “As an institution, AMTZ is still in its infancy, with immense potential for learning and growth,” he stated, reaffirming the commitment of the government to partner with AMTZ in advancing education and skilling in the healthcare sector.

AMTZ used the occasion to inaugurate the Instalimb facility, National Skill Training Institute (NSTI), and launched the IITPL Cath Lab production facility, 3I Medtech, CII -Institute of Quality, Smile Zone ( Dental Care Centre), Atlas Concilio, and the Indian Institute of Radiological Technology (IIRT). These initiatives reflect the vibrant ecosystem cultivated within AMTZ, aiming at driving transformative change in healthcare and technology.

Dr. Jitendra Sharma, MD & Founder CEO of AMTZ, highlighted the critical importance of collaboration among manufacturers, innovators, scientists, doctors, and engineers in honoring Dr. Kalam’s legacy. He noted that the advancements in prosthetic limbs, cutting-edge CT scanners, and India’s first cath lab manufacturing facility are true testaments to the organization’s commitment to science and healthcare.

As a beacon of hope and progress in India’s healthcare landscape, AMTZ continues to embody the spirit of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, showcasing what can be achieved through collective effort and visionary leadership. The organization is poised to continue its journey of growth while ensuring that healthcare remains accessible and affordable for all citizens. The future promises even greater advancements as AMTZ looks forward to another decade filled with innovation and excellence in medical technology.

Chandrababu Naidu, CM of Andhra Pradesh, who first saw the great spark in Dr Jitendra Sharma, found a mention in good measure. But for Mr Naidu’s penchant for picking up the best of minds, this medtech park would not have happened. Now that, Mr Naidu is again in the saddle, this park is poised to take the flight to soar high.
