But COVID 19 hiatus from surgery revealed that he is as prolific with his pen as with scalpel. Dr Vaishya wrote a record 40 articles on the COVID pandemic. Asia Book of Records has honoured him for setting an Asian record of publishing a maximum number of articles on the pandemic in a short time of 3months and 20 days. He has authored a total of 138 scientific papers, chapters and blogs.

The contribution of Dr Vaishya, Senior Consultant, Orthopedics and Joint Replacement, at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals toward research and publication on COVID related issues has been significant and perhaps the most outstanding amongst Indian Scientists and Doctors.
Out of the138 articles, 75of articles are related to COVID 19 and talk about the clinical management, applied modern technologies in the field of medical sciences like biosensors, Artificial Intelligence (AI),the Internet of Things (IoT) amongst others. Additionally, his literary work also lays down guidelines on dealing with patients who need surgery in times of COVID 19, efficient use of telemedicine, people suffering from Non-Commumicable Diseases (NCDs) in the COVID era.
