Godown Operating Without License: FSDA Raided And Seized Medicines Worth 50 Lakhs

Kanpur : On Thursday, a team of the FSDA raided the drug Godown operating without license for a long time and seized medicines worth more than 50 lakhs. Now action will be taken against the godown owner by registering a case.

Despite not having the license of a godown in the drug market located on Birhana Road, it was running indiscriminately. The drug department was getting information about this for several days. Today, when the team raided, there was a stir in the godown. The drug inspector raided and seized the godown.

During the raid, the officials of the Drug Department found medicines of different companies. According to officials, the cost of medicines is more than 50 lakhs. Keeping medicines inGodown without a license is illegal under the Medicines Act. Under which action will be taken.

Drug Inspector Sandeep Maurya said that there is a medicine godown named SGPS Pharmaceutical in Birhana Road drug market. It Has been running without license and standard for the last many days. The raids have been conducted on the basis of information.

When the license was sought from the godown owner Vicky Lalwani, he could not show it. About 40 types of medicines have been found inside the godown. Which includes fever, pain, swelling, syrup, injection, surgical items, Ayurveda medicines. These medicines are available in tablet, capsule, syrup and liquid form.
