Manipal Hospitals, Dwarka begins Video Consultancy for enlisted, new patients

New Delhi: To provide health care services in the times of an unprecedented outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and lockdown to contain it, Manipal Hospitals, Dwarka has started video consultation for its enlisted as well as new patients.

The Hospital has constituted a 10-member COVID RESPONSE TEAM (CRT) under the chairmanship of Dr Yugal K Mishra, Chief of Clinical Services and it strongly recommends Online OPDs to avoid physical contact and encourage social distancing to contain the outbreak and make medical services available to the patients.

To fight against COVID 19 and to facilitate the home stay for the safety of the patients, Manipal Hospitals Dwarka has taken this tech-driven initiative of Video Consultation with the Specialists. The Hospital would also provide doorstep delivery of medicines and home collection of lab samples.

“Our enlisted and new patients can book an appointment with their particular specialists for video consultancy and at the given time they would require to interface for consultancy. We have begun the Video Consultancy for the ease of our patients and requested them to opt for this. Online OPDs will be open from 9 AM to 5 PM. We have requested all patients from our database that unless it is unavoidable or the case is critical, there is no need to visit the Hospital,” said Dr Yugal K Mishra, Chief of Clinical Services.

The key to managing the COVID-19 outbreak is to maintain social distancing and isolation. We are fully prepared to deal with COVID-19 cases. For patient safety and ease, we are emphasising on Video Consultancy. It is promising to note that every day more and more people are opting for video consultancy,” said Pramod Alagharu, CEO, Manipal Hospitals, Dwarka. The Hospital said that for non-avoidable elective surgeries, Medical Administration is taking all due precautions to provide support to the patients and their family.
