Jaipur: The state govt on Sunday issued revised guidelines to simplify the process of doorstep delivery of drugs and medicines under Rajasthan government health scheme (RGHS).
Under the new guidelines, RGHS beneficiaries can order doorstep delivery of medicines through empanelled pharmacy chains or shops using the RGHS portal or mobile app. The beneficiary must submit a duly signed prescription by an authorised medical attendant through their SSO ID on the portal or app.
The empanelled pharmacy will receive the order and ensure delivery within 24 hours for orders placed within the city and within 48 hours for orders placed outside the city, say the guidelines.
In case of urgent requirements, RGHS beneficiaries can opt for delivery of drugs and medicines within one to six hours by applying on the system and paying a service charge not exceeding Rs 100 per delivery. If the e-pharma store agrees to deliver within the opted time limit, it becomes mandatory for them to do so. Failure to deliver within the prescribed time will result in the cancellation of the order, non-payment to the e-pharma store, and the application of a penalty clause.
However, delays due to unsuitable weather conditions, political disruptions, strikes, government restrictions, or acts of God may be exempted from penalties.
