Whole World bows to Indian Mantra, The Surgical Robot, in International Conference

Gurugram/ New Delhi: The way ‘Make in India’ maestro, creator of surgical robot Mantra, Dr Sudhir Srivastava was feted in the Global Multispecialty Robotic Surgery Conference, the historical quote- He came, He saw, He conquered- seemed to come to life. Veritable who’s who of global tribe of robotic surgeons spoke of Mantra and Dr Srivasta, one of the most globally famous robotic surgeons, in glowing terms.

The statement of a former AIIMS surgeon based in America that Dr Sudhir Srivastava has fulfilled the dream of iconic late president of India Dr A P J Abdul Kalam was a crowning glory. Add to it that Dr Srivastava has also fulfilled the dream of PM Narendra Modi by crafting a Make in India prodigy.

The hall was jam packed by surgeons of Delhi NCR on first day of the global conference at hotel Leela palace. Surgeons of Delhi and NCR came in force to witness the showcasing of Indian pride. Dr Ashok K Hemal, former AIIMS surgeon  and currently in Wake Forest Medical School and Baptist Medical Centre, NC, USA said in his speech that late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam once shared his dream of creating Indian surgical robotic system but somehow it could not happen. Dr Hemal added, ‘Dr Sudhir Srivastava fulfilled his dream.’.

Dr Gurunath Reddy, Founder Chairman of Continental hospitals said that Dr Sudhir Srivastava  is one who has embellished America by his robotic cardio thoracic surgeries there. But Dr Frederik Mall in his video speech from America clinched the issue once and for all. Dr Mall, the main scientist of American surgical robot Da Vinci, has left Da Vinci to join Dr Srivastava’s company SS Innovations which has created Mantra. Dr Mall spoke in great length about attributes of Mantra and Dr Srivastava. The Mall is of the firm view that dawning of Mantra on Indian scene is one of the biggest disruptions taking place in healthcare anywhere in the world..

SS Innovations organised a 2-day Global Multispecialty Robotic Surgery Conference which witnessed enthusiastic participation from 150+ world renowned doctors from around the world coming together on a single platform to discuss the future landscape of robotic surgery globally, integration of Artificial Intelligence in surgery and the pursuit of sustainable tele-surgery.

The highlight of the 2-day event is the Live surgeries, conducted by renowned robotic surgeons with SSI Mantra, which will showcase the system’s practical applications across various surgical specialties including cardiac surgery, providing attendees with real-time insights and valuable learning experiences.  Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar,  Union MoS for Health also graced the occasion via their video message. They seemed visibly elated at Mantra, The Make in India trophy, and seeing the whole world in reverence of Mantra.  Dr Naresh Trehan, Chairman, Medanta group of hospitals also praised Dr Srivastava greatly. Dr Sudhir Srivastava and Dr Naresh Trehan are bosom friends and have long association.
