Sonepat: Smuggler Arrested With 200 Banned Pentazocine Injectable Drugs

Sonepat : Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau, Karnal team arrested a person with 200 banned narcotics injections on Tuesday near the Power House located on Garhi Jhanjhara Road, Ganaur. The team has recovered Pentazocine Injections from the trunk of the bike of the accused.
The police took possession of the accused Surendra and the recovered injections and bike and registered a case against him under the NDPS Act at Ganaur police station. The police will produce the accused in the court and take him on remand. ASI Sandeep of Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau Karnal said that Surendra, a resident of Khedi Gujjar village, had a shop named Prince Medical Store on Khubdu Road. He was smuggling banned drug injections for about one and a half years. He used to buy injections from Delhi and supply them to sports persons as well as drug addicts at exorbitant prices. The name of a manufacturing company of Bahadurgarh is written on the recovered injections. The MRP of the injection is marked as Rs.30 per injection and the expiry date is shown as August 2024.

Ganaur police station in-charge Karmjit Singh said that the team of Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau, Karnal arrested the accused along with drug injections. Case has been registered. Mobile phones, 200 banned injections worth about Rs 5,000 and Rs 1,200 in cash have been seized. The accused will be taken on remand after being produced in the court.
