SS Innovations, Maker of Surgical Robot joins hands with Sai Institute of Medical Sciences

Gurugram: The name of ‘Made in India’ surgical robot SSIMantra in itself embodies divinity. Conjoined with Sathya Sai Baba fame spiritual hub of South, it now assumes more power to cater to underserved.

With signing of MoU between SS Innovations, maker of SSI Mantra and Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, die is cast for setting up of South India’s leading robotic cardiac surgery and training centre. In keeping with its motto to make robotic surgery, accessible and affordable for all and sundry, SS Innovations announced to donate SSI Mantra surgical robot to Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR).

As part of a major initiative to democratize access to advanced surgical technologies, Dr.SudhirPrem Srivastava, founding chairman of SSI group of companies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR). The MoU signing ceremony, held at the SS Innovations International Headquarters in Gurugram on July 5 was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Sadguru Madhusudan Sai.

This initiative aims to establish a world-class Robotic Cardiac Surgery Centre at SMSIMSR and develop the institution into South India’s premier training hub for robotic surgeries across multiple specialties, including adult and pediatric cardiac surgery, thoracic, general surgery, urology, gynecology, and head and neck surgery.

Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR), committed to selfless service and excellence in healthcare, shares this vision by providing world-class facilities and compassionate care to patients irrespective of their economic capability. This partnership not only strengthens equitable access to cutting-edge surgical care but will also accelerate knowledge exchange, clinical training, and joint research initiatives to expand the reach and efficacy of robotic surgery in India.

Further, this partnership between Dr.Sudhir Srivastava and SMSIMSR represents a confluence of technological excellence and humanitarian values. As part of the collaboration, Dr.Srivasatava will support the first 100 robotic surgical procedures at SMSIMSR, cover the full maintenance costs of the SSI Mantra System for the next five years, and lead advanced training programs for cardiac and multi-specialty surgical teams at the institute, ensuring both immediate impact and long-term capacity building.
