Eligible & interested candidates are invited for appearing in the ONLINE INTERVIEW (Through MS TEAMS) for the following purely temporary positions of CONSULTANT to work under CSIR funded following projects: –

i) PAN CSIR CANCER RESEARCH PROGRAM Making Cancer Care Affordable Empowering Women’s Health: Focusing on Breast and Gynaecological Cancers of Indian Relevance (HCP-040)

ii) CSIR-Phytopharmaceuticals Mission II (HCP-038) and

iii) Discovery and Pre-clinical Development of Antivirals for COVID19 and other diseases (HCP-041)
tenable at CSIR-IIIM, Jammu.

Specialization/Nature of work : Chemistry– medicinal, organic, process
Essential Qualification : Ph.D. in organic / medicinal / chemistry with at least 10 years of research experience

Desirable : Research experience in synthetic organic/ medicinal / process chemistry with a proven track record. Experience in peptide synthesis will be an added advantage.

Essential Qualification : Ph.D. in sciences with at least 10 years of research experience in a relevant field

Desirable : Research experience in natural products chemistry/ phytopharmaceuticals drug development with a proven track record.

Specialization/Nature of work : Regulatory expert – NCEs, phytopharmaceuticals
Essential Qualification : Ph.D. in sciences with 10 years of experience in regulatory field OR Masters in Sciences with 15 years of experience in regulatory field

Desirable : Research experience in regulatory field – IND filings, IND documentation (DCGI/ FDA) with a proven track record.
Monthly Emoluments in Rs. : Rs.60,000/- (Consolidated)

The positions are co-terminus with the projects HCP-040 , HCP-038 and HCP-041. The duration of the projects is up to 31.03.2026 (HCP-040) and 31.03.2023 (HCP-038 & HCP-041).

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS AND ONLINE SELECTION PROCEDURE
1. The application (Google Form) for these positions can be filled online in the Google Form.

The Google Form link is available at the CSIR-IIIM website (iiim.res.in). Filled in Google Form should be submitted by or before 24.01.2022 (Monday) up to 5:00 pm.

2. Google Form submitted after the scheduled date and time i.e. 24.01.2022 (Monday) up to 5:00 pm shall not be entertained for Online Interview.

3. Only eligible candidates shall be assessed for the online viva-voce on the date of the Online Interview. The list of eligible candidates and dates for the Online Interview will be notified on the CSIR-IIIM Website at www.iiim.res.in by 5.00 P.M. on 27.01.2022 (Thursday).

5. The shortlisted candidates have to be available on the date of the Online Interview from 9.30 A.M. onwards and will be called anytime during the allotted time period (should there be any change, they will be informed accordingly).

6. Eligible/shortlisted candidates shall attend the Online Interview through Video Conferencing on Microsoft Teams.

7. The viva-voce in respect of eligible/shortlisted candidates shall be conducted online through Video Conferencing on Microsoft Teams However, if a large number of candidates apply, the Screening Committee may re-visit the Screening Criteria and shortlist the candidates for Online Interview in proportion to the available vacancies.

8. Candidate has the option to interact in English/Hindi before the Selection Committee.

9. In case, the final certificates reflect CGPA/SGPA/OGPA Grades, etc., the candidate should convert the same into equivalent percentage as per the approved formula of the concerned University while filling up the Google Form.

10. To avoid any inconvenience, only those candidates who strictly fulfil the eligibility criteria and possess the degrees/mark sheets in the aforesaid subjects should apply for the Online Interview.

11. Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents including eligibility qualification will be verified, if any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment shall stand cancelled.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Period of engagement : The engagement shall be initially for a period of one year or till further orders whichever is earlier.

The tenure of the contract can be extended depending upon the performance of the Consultant or functional requirement of the Department with the approval of the Competent Authority.

2. Selection procedure: The engagement will be purely on a contract basis. Application received in response to this advertisement will be shortlisted on the basis of experience and qualification of applicants.

Consultants will be selected from the shortlisted candidates, after the interview process.

3. Remuneration: As stated in column 6 of the eligibility criteria.

4. Scope of Duties : During the period of such engagement, the Consultants would be required to perform any work as assigned to them by Director/Project Leader in the CSIR-IIIM, Jammu in which they would be posted to work as Consultant.

5. Leave : The Consultant would not be entitled to any kind of regular leave. However, they would be entitled to Casual Leave of 8 days in a calendar year, to be calculated on pro-rata basis.

6. TA/DA : No TA/DA is admissible for joining the assignment or on its completion. Should they be required to travel outside Jammu in connection with the work of the CSIR-IIIM, Jammu during the period of their engagement they will be entitled to draw TA/DA, if required for office work, as per normal rules as applicable to any serving officer of an equivalent rank in CSIR.

7. Office time and working hours: The engagement of Consultants would be on a full time basis. Working hours shall be from 9.00 AM to 5.30 PM during working days including half an hour lunch break in between.

They will not be allowed to take any other assignment during the period of contractual engagement. The Consultant may be called on Saturday/ Sunday/ other Gazetted holidays if required.

8. Tax deduction at Source: The Income Tax or any other tax liable to be deducted, as per the prevailing rules will be deducted at source before effecting the payment for which the office will issue a TDS certificate.

9. Confidentiality of data and documents : The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of the data collected as well as the deliverables produced for the office shall remain with this office.

No one shall utilize or published or disclose or part with, to a third party, any part of the data or statistics or proceedings or information collected for the purpose of this assignment or during the course of the assignment for the office, without the express written consent of the office.

The Consultant shall be bound to hand over the entire set of records of assignment to the office before the expiry of the contract, and before the final payment is released by the office.

10. Conflict of interest: The Consultant engaged by this office, shall in no case represent or give opinion or advice to others in any matter which is adverse to the interest of this office.

11. Termination of service: The engagement may be terminated at any time by the office without assigning any reasons by giving a notice of 15 days.

In case, a Consultant desires to leave the assignment, he/she is to give 15 days’ notice which can be curtailed /extended depending upon the workload.
