3 States Involved In Supply Of Spurious Cough Syrup In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar : The major haul of illegally manufactured spurious cough syrup from the capital city of Odisha has led to the revelation of roots all over the country.

The roots of the illegally manufactured spurious cough syrup have been traced to Ahmedabad, Himachal Pradesh and Kolkata, said reports on Thursday.

The shop MS pharma care India was receiving the cough syrup from three different states where it was being illegally manufactured.

The Bhuaratpur police manhunt continues in various places to catch the owner of the company, Pravin Das. Complaints against the owner are increasing with each passing day.

The information about the GST fraud has been with the police for three years. Efforts are on to revoke the pharmacy license.

Meanwhile, the sample test report will come from the lab today. The drug inspector had taken the cough syrup sample for a drug test. The Commissionerate police will travel outside the state if necessary.

It is worth mentioning that on May 2, 2023, a huge cache of cough syrup had been seized from Bhubaneswar under Bharatpur police limits, said reliable reports. The Commissionerate police has continued keeping zero tolerance towards drug abuse in Bhubaneswar city. As a preventive measure, Bharatpur Police got a tip-off and conducted a raid.

The Bharatpur police while performing a patrolling got a tip off that one Praven Kumar Dash (Proprietor) of M/S Pharma Care is planning to transport prohibited manufactured drugs after adulteration of the same.

The illegal drugs were being transported by the said accused in an Auto bearing Registration No. OD-05-C-2423 from Baramunda Bus-Stand.

The SI Satyabrata Grahacharya along with team reacted to the information and detained the Auto with two persons who are agents cum suppliers and seized then adulterated Escuf Cough syrup.
