Aster DM Healthcare will Personalise its Medicine in 2020

Dubai/ India: Aster DM Healthcare will leverage big on genomic information to enter into the area of personalized medicine. Aster Innovation Centre is all set to contribute to its share to this exciting new genre of medicine. The healthcare behemoth has other big plans up its sleeve for the ensuing year 2020.

Aster has ambitious plans for consolidation and expansion in the markets it operates, the largest being UAE and India. It is also entering into new streams of business like Aster Labs to serve the people.

On the eve of beginning of 2020, Dr Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman & Managing Director, Aster DM Healthcare unveiled his plans for the year on the carpet. In a press statement sent to Medicare News Dr Moopen said, ‘The area of personalized medicine using genomic information is gaining momentum worldwide. We are working closely with the governments in the countries where we are present to contribute our share to this exciting area through the Aster Innovation Centre.’

Being seized of the great transformation happening across healthcare all over world, Dr Moopen further said, ‘The healthcare industry is transforming through innovation, and advances in technology will increasingly affect the circle of care. In 2020, the focus on technology and innovation is likely to grow exponentially and touch the lives of millions of people worldwide. There will be an amalgamation of touch and tech as patient needs evolve. We anticipate that the UAE will be at the forefront of the development of the sector in the region.

Talking about his plans about his native country India, Padma shree Dr Moopen added, ‘We are looking forward to participating in the EXPO 2020 in Dubai through the India Pavilion. The pavilion will showcase India’s culture along with capabilities in technology, innovation and research, to the whole world.’

On Expo2020, he said, ‘For UAE, 2020 will be the most memorable year of EXPO 2020, as this mega event kick starts in October. The EXPO 2020 is expected to give the economy a major boost through various ways and will driving large number of tourists from world over to Dubai. We are now only 10 months away from the launches of the world EXPO, which will not only showcase the country and its achievements on a global stage but will also undoubtedly, play a significant role in further boosting the country’s non-oil GDP.’
