The Medicity sets up paediatric department for advanced care of Children

Gurugram/New Delhi: Leading NCR hospital Medanta –The Medicity has geared up to pay all attentions possible under the sun to ailing children. For this, the hospital has set up an advanced Paediatric Department armed with a battery of world class doctors to provide best medical treatment.

The state of art department will be headed by Dr. Prof. Sunit Singhi as Chairman of Pediatrics Division. Dr. Singhi is one who successfully established India’s first Paediatrics Intensive Care Unit .in 1992. He brings with to the department his huge experience of working in academic positions in paediatrics and critical care for more than three decades.

Speaking on the occasion of its launch, Dr (Prof)  Singhi said, “Our focus has always been to provide the best medical treatment with an emphasis on bringing the world class care to the patients in Gurugram and neighbouring cities. The launch of paediatrics department will help in securing child’s health and offer ‘state of the art’ complete care to children with critical illness. With our expertise in all the departments we envision that these facilities will be accessible for everyone.”

The department offers a bouquet of facilities such as General Pediatrics, Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatrics Neuroscience, Pediatric Surgery, Urology etc.  The new department will function in sync with the existing pediatrics specialties at the hospital namely cardiac sciences, oncology (including BMT), orthopedics, gastroenterology, nephrology and endocrinology.  Medanta is also in the process of preparing a dedicated paediatric ward so that all paediatric IPD patients are managed in one area.

The hospital has been witnessing lots of patients from surrounding areas like Manesar, Hisar, Bhiwani, Jhajjar apart from Delhi and Faridabad. The opening of new paediatrics department will help patients from these regions get the best medical facility.
