2 Held With Banned Pills In Abohar

Abohar : Police have arrested two youths with drugs in Khuiyan Sarwar police station of Abohar, Punjab. Police have recovered 1000 drug pills from the accused. The police have registered a case against both the accused under the NDPS Act and started investigating the matter.

On the directions of Fazilka SSP Avneet Kaur Sidhu, the police team under the leadership of Khuiyan Sarwar station in-charge Baljit Singh has launched a campaign against drug peddlers. In connection with this, Assistant Station Officer Manjit Singh was patrolling near Gumjal yesterday. Meanwhile, after stopping two youths coming on foot from Sriganganagar, they searched the pittu bag with them.

About 1000 Tablets of Tramadol Hydrochloride 100 mg and Covidol 100 SR were recovered from them. The accused have been identified as Manpreet Singh s/o Karaj Singh, resident of village Kot Sadar Khan, Thana Dharamkot Moga and Paramjit Singh s/o Dalip, resident of Mehatpur Jalandhar. Police have arrested them and registered a case under section 22, 61, 85 of NDPS.
