DRI Sezed 107 Litres Of Liquid Mephedrone From Apex Medichem

Ahmedabad: After the mega drug bust carried out jointly by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) Pune and Ahmedabad Crime Branch on October 21 at a factory in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad, another factory came under crackdown in the city on Saturday.

Banned drugs worth about Rs 160 crore have been recovered in the latest case, officials said.

The owner of the factory and the warehouse manager have been arrested under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

“The search of the factory premises of a company named Apex Medichem Pvt. Ltd. resulted in the recovery of about 107 litres of liquid Mephedrone. The Illicit market value of these narcotics drugs and psychotropic substances has been reported to be approximately Rs160 crore, ” stated an official release.
