Raid On Clinic, 35 Types Of Medicines Seized

Sri Ganganagar: Sri Ganganagar Medical and Health Department raided a clinic on Monday. On receiving a complaint of running the clinic illegally, the action was started at 5 pm under the leadership of CMHO Dr. Ajay Singla which continued till late night.

According to the information, the Health Department had received a complaint regarding the illegal clinic on toll free number 181, on which a team was formed on Monday and instructions were given to take action.

Under the state government’s ‘Operation Black Thunder’, the team raided Gaurav Clinic located at Truck Union Bridge. During this raid, Kulwant Rai Gillhotra was found on the spot, who did not have any degree in allopathy.

While some other medicines including allopathy were found there. Acting BCMO Dr. Abhishesh Sharma, UDC Sandeep Verma and Drug Inspector Amandeep Kaur were included in the team. At the same time, the police were also present on the spot.

In the clinic 35 types of medicines were recovered on the spot. These include injections, capsules and tablets etc. CMHO Dr. Ajay Singla said late night that some NDPS component medicines have also been found on the spot, which are being counted. At the same time, the police are also taking action. Something can be told only after the action is completed.

The health department team led by CMHO reached Gaurav Clinic at 5 pm. The team evacuated the patients undergoing treatment there. Media personnel who reached there after getting the information were also kept away from the action. According to sources, a large quantity of medicines have been found from the clinic. CMHO Dr. Singla said late at night that some NDPS medicines have also been found.
