Pune: Two Arrested For Selling Illegal Steroid Injections In Gyms

Shivajinagar: Shivaji nagar Police have taken action against two individuals for illegally selling steroid injections, Mephentermine Sulphate Injection, to youths in various gyms across Pune  city, with the intent of ‘improving’ their physique.

A case has been registered against the accused, and 14 illegal steroid injections, valued at Rs. 5,000, have been seized from their possession. This information was provided by Senior Police Inspector Chandrashekhar Sawant, in charge of Shivajinagar Police Station.

The accused have been identified as Deepak Baburao Wadekar (32, resident of Khadki) and Sajan Anna Jadhav (25, resident of Aundh). Police Constable Tejas Ramesh Chopade filed the complaint in this matter.

According to the police, the accused were apprehended in a car on the road leading to Irani Vasti in Narveer Tanaji Wadi (Na Ta Wadi) while in possession of illegal steroid injections. They did not have any bills for the medicines, and it was found that they had obtained them illegally, knowing the potential health risks to individuals using the injections.

Shivajinagar Police are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the injections, who the intended buyers were, and to identify any other accomplices involved in the operation.
