Jaipur: You may be buying products of branded companies, but there is no guarantee whether the products are genuine or not. There are such mafias in the cities who are manufacturing fake products of every branded product and supplying them in the market. Even shopkeepers are buying fake goods in the greed of huge profits.
Jaipur police has nabbed a gang which was supplying fake goods to hundreds of shops in Jaipur. Four members of the gang have been arrested by Sanganer Sadar police. A huge quantity of products of branded companies which are used in everyday life have been recovered from their possession.
The police team led by ACP Sanganer Surendra Singh has carried out this major operation. You will be surprised to know the names of the fake products that have been confiscated by the police. The police have confiscated fake products of almost all branded companies that are regularly used in household use. You must be using Colgate and Close Up toothpaste at home.
The police have confiscated more than 2,000 fake packets of these branded companies. Along with this, fake ghee of Saras, Amul, Krishna, Lotus and Mahan brands, fake soaps of Godrej and Dettol, Surf Excel detergent powder, Fair and Lovely, Vaseline body lotion, Iodex, Vicks, Maheshwari tea, Feviquick along with fake products of bidi, cigarette and pan masala have also been recovered.
DCP South Rajarshi Raj said that the DST team had received information about those selling fake and adulterated products. After this, a special team was formed under the leadership of ACP Chaksu Surendra Singh. The team members raided house number 2769 of Secretariat Nagar located in Sanganer Sadar area. This house belongs to Manish Kumar Gupta who is the kingpin of the gang that manufactures and sells fake products. All kinds of fake products were made in this house and supplied to hundreds of shops in Jaipur city. All kinds of fake products were packed in wrappers of branded companies and sold.
These four accused were arrested
1. Manish Kumar Gupta, age 46 years, resident of Ward No. 9, Mehndi Bagh, Near Shiv Mandir, District Tonk. Present residence House No. 278 Sutlej Apartment, First Floor, Sector 28 Pratap Nagar, Jaipur.
2. Naved Khan, age 21 years, resident of Kayamkhani Mohalla, Mehndi Bagh, District Tonk.
3. Aman Sain, age 19 years, resident of Indra Colony, Behind Dr. Vijendra Tripathi’s house, Tonk.
4. Shankar Lal Sharma, age 48 years, resident – S 31, Shivraj Colony, Madarampura, Sanganer, Jaipur.

19. Total 540 tubes of Fair and Lovely.
20. 17 cans of Vaseline.
21. 27 tubes of Clove toothpaste.
22. 72 cans of fake Amul ghee. 6 cartons of Amul paper wrappers, each carton containing 12 packets, 72 in total, 144 liters.
23. 5 tins of fake Lotus ghee, each of 5 liters and 26 packets of 500 ml (450 grams) in paper wrappers, total 38 liters.
24. 10 packets of fake Saras ghee, total 10 liters.
25. 7 packets of fake Krishna ghee, total 1 liter 700 ml.
26. 10 cans of Mahan fake ghee, total 10 liters of ghee.
27. About 25 liters of open fake ghee.
28. 4 tins of Parampara refined soyabean oil 15 kg, total 60 kg.
29. 4 tins of Vanaspati ghee, 15 kg, total 60 kg.
