Patna: Over 20,000 Banned Injections Seized in Ramkrishna Nagar Area, One Arrested

Phulwari Sharif, Patna– In a major crackdown under the ongoing special anti-drug campaign, Patna Police busted an illegal trade of banned injections in the Nandlal Chhapra locality of Ramkrishna Nagar police station area. A large consignment of more than 20,000 prohibited injections was recovered from 9 cartons, and one accused was arrested on the spot.

According to Patna Sadar SDPO Ranjan Kumar, police received secret information about illegal purchase and sale of banned injections from a house in Nandlal Chhapra belonging to Anil Kumar. Hilsa resident Nitish Kumar, who was staying there as a tenant, was running the illicit business.

Acting on Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna’s directions, a special team led by the Nagar Superintendent of Police (East) was formed. The team conducted a swift raid at the identified location and seized the injections kept in 9 cartons. Nitish Kumar was immediately arrested.

Police are now investigating the source of the seized injections, the supply chain, and other people involved in the racket. SDPO Ranjan Kumar confirmed that the entire network is under scrutiny and further action against remaining accused will be taken soon. He added that such operations will continue as part of the campaign against intoxicants.
