Krsnaa Diagnostics board clears sale of diagnostic equipment worth up to Rs 120 crore

The company said the assets are freehold and unencumbered, so the sale will not touch the security package given to its lenders.

Mumbai: Krsnaa Diagnostics said its board has approved the sale of identified diagnostic equipment to identified purchasers for an aggregate consideration of up to Rs 120 crore, as the diagnostics provider moves towards a lighter asset base.

According to the company, the proposed sale is part of an ongoing strategic exercise aimed at optimising its asset portfolio and improving capital efficiency. Krsnaa said it had built up a substantial base of assets over the years to support the expansion of its diagnostic operations. As it shifts to a more asset-light and capital-efficient operating model, it has picked out certain assets that can be monetised without affecting its core operating capabilities, the company said.

The equipment earmarked for sale consists of freehold assets on which no security interest has been created in favour of the company’s lenders, Krsnaa said. As a result, the transaction will have no bearing on the assets that make up the security package provided to lenders, it added. The report did not name the buyers or list the specific equipment involved.

The board has authorised the company’s operations committee to settle the terms and conditions of the deal and to complete the formalities connected with it, according to the company.

Krsnaa Diagnostics runs technology-enabled diagnostic services covering radiology, pathology, tele-radiology and clinical laboratory work, and serves both public and private healthcare institutions across India.

The asset sale comes after a quarter in which profits fell even as sales grew. For the first quarter of FY27, the company reported a 19.35 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 16.55 crore compared with the same quarter of FY26, while revenue rose 22.05 per cent to Rs 235.53 crore over the same period. The shares were down 0.07 per cent at Rs 535.20 on the BSE at the time of the report.
