AIIA organises public awareness rally on 11th Ayurveda Day

The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, organised an “Ayurveda Public Awareness Rally” today to mark the 11th Ayurveda Day–2026.

The rally was organised with the objective of promoting Ayurveda, propagating its principles and creating greater public awareness about the role of Ayurveda in healthy living and holistic healthcare.

The rally commenced at 9:15 AM from the DDA Gate and proceeded towards Gate No. 3 of the All India Institute of Ayurveda. Faculty members, non-teaching staff, Ph.D. scholars, PG scholars and other members of the Institute participated in the awareness initiative with enthusiasm.

Carrying messages promoting Ayurveda and its role in preventive healthcare and healthy living, the participants sought to encourage greater public engagement with India’s traditional system of medicine. The rally also highlighted the importance of integrating the principles of Ayurveda into everyday life for promoting health and well-being.

AIIA said that the initiative is part of its continued commitment to public outreach, health awareness and the wider propagation of evidence-based Ayurveda. Through such awareness activities, the Institute aims to connect the knowledge and practices of Ayurveda with the community and contribute to the broader vision of making traditional Indian systems of medicine accessible to people.

The 11th Ayurveda Day provides an important platform to strengthen awareness about Ayurveda and its relevance in contemporary healthcare. AIIA continues to undertake academic, clinical, research and public-awareness initiatives to further the reach and understanding of Ayurveda at the national and international levels, it added.

Prof. (Vaidya) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, director, AIIA, has emphasised the importance of collective participation in Ayurveda awareness initiatives and strengthening public engagement with Ayurveda as part of the Institute’s outreach activities.
