Another accused arrested from Delhi in the case of contraband drug smuggling in Gujarat

Gagaret (Brij): CID and SIT have achieved great success in the much-publicised drug smuggling case of Gujarat. CID or SIT has arrested a person from Delhi in this case. The SIT claims that the said person is involved in sending the parcel of banned drugs to Gargaret. The SIT produced the said person before the Judicial Magistrate on Saturday and obtained his 5-day police remand. 4 people along with Virendra Bindu, a councilor of Gagaret, are already in jail in the case of smuggling of prohibited drugs.

Let it be known that the Anti-Narcotics Task Force had busted the smuggling of prohibited drugs being used for drug use through transport with a consignment of prohibited drugs from Delhi to Gujarat. However, after that, the Gujarat police also seized another parcel of banned drugs from Delhi. 4 people were nominated in this case. Due to the high profile of the case, the State CID was given the responsibility of investigating the case, on which a SIT was formed under the leadership of DIG CID DK Chaudhary. For several days, a team of the SIT was gathering evidence in Gujarat, while a team camped continuously in Delhi to investigate those sending parcels of banned drugs.

The SIT has arrested a person named Rishabh Jain, who was produced before the Judicial Magistrate in Amb on Thursday and obtained his 5-day police remand. An official of State CID has confirmed this.
