Chemical spill at Hetero pharma unit in Sangareddy injures three workers; Probe underway

Sangareddy: The incident happened when the employes were filling the reactor with chemicals. However, the management of Hetero kept the incident secret.

Three employees of Hetero Pharmaceuticals Limited were injured as chemicals spilled out of a reactor at its Khaji pally unit on Thursday late night.

The incident happened when the employees were filling the reactor with chemicals. However, the management of Hetero kept the incident secret.

But, the news broke out when the night shift workers walked out of the company on Friday morning. The injured were rushed to a corporate hospital in Hyderabad for treatment.

Two of three injured were casual workers at the company and another was a permanent employee. The Jinnaram police registered a case. The probe is on.
