DCA Telangana Advisory On Fake And Spurious Medicines Of Minogain Products

HYDERABAD: The Drugs Control Administration, Telangana, has issued an advisory to the people of the Telangana state that an online portal www.minogain.in is offering various products which have been found to be spurious and counterfeit.

In an official release here on Thursday, DCA Director General VB Kamalasan Reddy stated: “It has come to the attention of the Drugs Control Administration, Telangana, that an online portal www.minogain.in, is offering the following products, which are ‘Spurious/Counterfeit. The products include; Minogain 5% Topical Solution (Minoxidil 5% Topical Solution), Minogain Shampoo, Minogain Minoxidil 5% Topical Aerosol, Minogain Biotin 10,000 mcg Tablets”.

The products are falsely claimed to be manufactured by Indu Drugs Pvt. Ltd., 5-5- 278/279, Prashanti Nagar, IDA Kukatpally, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, Ltd and marketed by Minogain Hair Care Pvt. Ltd. It has been found upon verification that the above products are not manufactured by Indu Drugs Pvt. Ltd. Additionally, Minogain Hair Care Pvt. Ltd. has been identified as a non-existent/fictitious firm. The counterfeiters falsely claim the above products have been manufactured by Indu Drugs Pvt. Ltd., Q Telangana.

The public is alerted that counterfeit products are also being offered through the Telegram account “Minogain Hair Care” (@minogain). The counterfeit drugs are manufactured by anti-social elements and pose significant health risks to consumers. The Consumers and healthcare professionals are informed to STOP USE immediately and discontinue the use of the above spurious/counterfeit products.

The Retailers and wholesalers are directed to STOP the sale and distribution of the following counterfeit products: Ø Minogain 5% Topical Solution (Minoxidil 5% Topical Solution) Ø Minogain Shampoo Minogain Minoxidil 5% Topical Aerosol Ø Minogain Biotin 10,000 mcg Tablets DCA is actively working to ensure the removal of spurious drugs from the market.

The Drugs Control Administration urges the public to remain vigilant and report any information regarding the distribution or sale of the above counterfeit products: To the Drugs Control Administration, Telangana Toll-Free Number 1800-599-6969, which is operational from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm on all working days.
