DRI seizes alprazolam tablets worth Rs 30 lakh

Jaipur:  Almost a month after arresting two persons in Jaipur for illegal possession of banned drugs, the department of revenue intelligence (DRI) on Friday seized 20,000 alprazolam tablets worth Rs 30 lakh in the city. These tablets were smuggled into Jaipur from Jharkhand by the two earlier arrested accused through a courier service.

On Aug 18, the DRI had arrested two accused, identified as Arbaz Khan and Prabhu Ram, and seized 10,000 tablets worth approximately Rs 40 lakh during a raid conducted at a house in the Tonk Phatak area of Jaipur.tnn
