Govt Job: For Ph.D, M.Pharm, M.Sc at NIAB | Salary Rs. 60,670 pm

NIAB is an autonomous and premier institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

The Institute aims to develop and harness novel and emerging biotechnological tools and applications, and take up research in cutting-edge areas for improving animal health and productivity as well as contribute to human health and welfare.

Post : One position of Research Associate-II or Principal Project Associate

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following positions at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad against the DBT funded project entitled “Establishment of a Consortium for One Health to address Zoonotic and Transboundary Diseases in India, including the Northeast Region”. Coordinator : Dr. Subeer Majumdar, PI: Dr. Nagendra R. Hegde.

Eligibility for Research Associate-II : PhD in any field of Life Sciences (incl. Veterinary Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, etc.) or MD/MS/MDS and at least one years’ research experience, OR MVSc / M.Pharm / ME / MTech and at least 4 years’ research experience

Eligibility for Principal Project Associate : (i) Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Technology or Medicine from a recognised University or equivalent, and 8 years’ experience in Research and Development in industrial or academic institutions or science and technology organisations and scientific activities and services, OR

(ii) Doctoral degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma or MD / MS from a recognised University of equivalent, and 4 years’ experience in Research and Development in industrial or academic institutions or science and technology organisations and scientific activities and services

Desirable experience : PCR, RT-PCR, Protein expression and purification, Serological assay development and/or validation, Serosurvey.

Age limit : 40 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)

Fellowship amount : Rs. 49,000/-PM +24% HRA (if applicable) as per the DST guidelines
