Govt Job for the post of Faculty at AIIMS

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Kalyani, an Institute of National Importance is one of the new upcoming AIIMS and apex healthcare Institute under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) has been established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, with the aim of correcting regional imbalance in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country, and attaining self-sufficiency in graduate, postgraduate and higher medical education and training.

Online applications from Indian citizens/persons registered as Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955 as permissible under the applicable Act/Rules are invited for the following faculty posts on DIRECT RECRUITMENT BASIS IN VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Kalyani (West-Bengal).

Pharmacology
Professor – 01 (OBC-1)
Additional Professor – 1 (1-UR)
Associate Professor – 1 (1-UR)
Assistant Professor – 3 (SC-1, ST-1, OBC-1)

Professor
Essential for medical candidates
1. A medical Qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in section 13(3) of the Act.)

2. A post graduate qualification e.g.MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
AND/OR

3. M.Ch. for surgical Superspecialities and D.M. for Medical Superspecialities (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Experience: Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

OR Twelve years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institute in the subject of speciality after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch./D.M. (2 years or 5 years course recognized after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Additional Professor
Essential for medical candidates 1 to 2 same as for Professor (Medical)
Experience : Ten years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D. /M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Essential for Superspeciality disciplines:

1) Same as Professor (Medical) 2) D.M. in the respective discipline/subject for medical superspecialities and M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject for surgical superspecialities (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Experience: Eight years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M./M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

OR Seven years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality for the candidates possessing 3 years recognized degree of D.M. / M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Essential for non-medical candidates : * 1 & 2 are same as for Professor (Non – Medical) Experience: Ten years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the Doctorate degree.

Associate Professor
Essential for medical candidates (for General Discipline): 1 to 2 same as for Professor (Medical).
Experience: Six years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D. / M.S. or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Essential for Superspeciality disciplines:
1. Same as Professor (Medical)
2. D.M.in the respective discipline/subject for medical superspecialities and M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject for surgical superspecialities (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Experience: Four years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M./M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

OR Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality for the candidates possessing 3 years recognized degree of D.M./M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Essential for non-medical candidates: * 1 & 2 are same as for Professor (Non – Medical). Experience: Six years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree.

Assistant Professor
Essential for medical candidates (For General Disciplines): 1 to 2 same as for Professor (Medical).
Experience: Three years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

for Superspeciality disciplines: 1. Same as Professor (Medical)
2. D.M. in the respective discipline/subject for medical superspecialities and M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject for surgical superspecialities (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Experience : One years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M./M.Ch.(2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognized degree of D.M/M.Ch. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Essential for non-medical Candidates: * 1 & 2 are same as for Professor (Non – Medical).
Experience : Three years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the Doctorate degree.

Educational Qualifications for non-medical candidates (as applicable):
1. Master’s degree in concerned speciality as under: –
i. Anatomy: -M.Sc. (Human Anatomy)
ii. Physiology: -M.Sc. (Medical Physiology/Physiology)
iii. Biochemistry: -M.Sc. (Medical Biochemistry /Biochemistry)
iv. Pharmacology: -M.Sc. (Medical Pharmacology /Pharmacology)
2. A doctorate degree of recognized university in concerned discipline.

Note :-
1. Abbreviation used: Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
2. The above vacancies are provisional and subject to variation. The Executive Director, AIIMS, Kalyani reserves the right to vary the vacancies including reserved vacancies as per the Govt. of India Rules/Circulars and requirements or otherwise.

3. 4% of the total vacancies is horizontally reserved for PwBD (OH-OL and BL) candidates and also PwBD as per the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment’s Notification No. 16-15/2010-DD.III dated 29th July, 2013 as amended from time to time as applicable.

4. Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) shall be applicable as per Govt. of India, Office Memorandum No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) DoPT dated 19th January, 2019 and 31st January, 2019. EWS candidate must ensure that they have a valid EWS certificate on the last date of submission of application. EWSs Candidates will attach certificate issued by the competent authority in the form prescribed as per Annexure – V.

5. Reservation will be as per Government of India Policy.
6. The cut-off date to determine the maximum age limit, essential qualification & experiences will be the last date of submission of online application.

7. Relaxation of One-year Teaching/Research experience for SC/ST candidates in Faculty selection will be given as per Rules/Guidelines issued by DoP&T.
8. The period of experience wherever prescribed shall be counted after obtaining the prescribed qualification.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. All the posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar status at Kalyani, West Bengal.

2. Application Process: – The aspiring applicants satisfying the eligibility criteria in all respect can submit their application through ON-LINE mode followed by submission of the hard copy of the online form, duly signed at designated place. The On-line registration of application will be made available on AIIMS, Kalyani official website i.e. aiimskalyani.edu.in.

The link for submission of online applications in respect of above said posts along with other relevant information will be activated on the date of advertisement on Employment News/ Rojgar Samachar or earlier (as posted on the website).

The last date of online submission of applications will be 30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in Employment News/Rojgar Samachar. In case the last date falls on weekly off or holidays, then the last date of submission of application will be shifted to the next working days (up to 5.00 PM).

The hard copy of the on-line applications, duly signed at designated place, have to be sent along with SBI Collect Transaction Slip, self-attested copies of certificates/documents including the Annexures enclosed with this advertisement, in support of fulfilling the essential criteria of age, educational qualification, teaching/research experiences etc. within 15 days from the last date of receipt of online application. Candidates are instructed to forward their application with relevant documents as mentioned in the advertisement in a suitable envelop (size A-4 or above), mentioning the following format in the top of the envelop.
