AIIMS Bhopal has taken a historic step toward integrating Indian systems of medicine with modern healthcare through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Patanjali Research Foundation Trust. This collaboration aims to promote joint research, education, and innovation by combining allopathic medical science with ancient Ayurvedic knowledge to offer comprehensive and effective healthcare solutions.
The MoU was signed in the presence of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director, Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, and Patanjali Research Institute’s Chief Scientist, Dr. Anurag Varshney. The partnership will focus on collaborative research in critical areas such as fatty liver disease, allergies, lifestyle-related disorders, liver ailments, respiratory issues, kidney diseases, and neurological disorders. A key point of discussion during the event was the clinical controlled trials of Patanjali’s evidence-based Ayurvedic medicines, Livogrit and Bronchom.
Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh highlighted that this agreement signifies a new chapter in healthcare, combining the strengths of modern medical science with traditional Indian knowledge to deliver more effective, accessible, and holistic treatment options. He also announced that the Patanjali Research Foundation Trust will establish the largest herbal garden in Madhya Pradesh within the AIIMS Bhopal campus, providing a valuable resource for research and academic pursuits.
Dr. Anurag Varshney credited the blessings of Param Pujya Swami Ramdev Ji and the inspiration of Param Shraddhey Acharya Balkrishna Ji for driving this collaboration, which he described as a significant move toward positioning Patanjali Ayurveda on the global stage.
