Of the candidates considered in the first round, 14,736 were allotted their first-choice college and must accept the seat, the state CET Cell said.
Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has published the first Centralized Admission Process (CAP) list for first-year B.Pharmacy and Pharm.D courses for 2026-27, offering admission to 28,139 students across 528 pharmacy colleges in the state, according to The Times of India.
The participating colleges together have 46,984 seats on offer, the CET Cell said. Of the 44,329 candidates who registered for admission, 35,988 filed their college preferences within the stipulated window and were considered in the opening round of allotment.
Allotments made to the 14,736 students who secured their first-choice college have been placed in the ‘Auto-freeze’ category, under which taking up the seat is compulsory, according to the cell. A student who turns down a first-choice allotment will not be allowed to take part in the second, third or fourth CAP rounds and will instead have to apply directly in the later institutional round.
Students allotted a college in the first list were required to report in person at their allotted institutions between September 28 and September 30, submit the required documents and pay the applicable fees to confirm their admission, the cell said.
The tentative list of vacancies for the second CAP round is scheduled for release on October 1, according to the schedule. The details were issued through a press release dated September 28 from the public relations officer of the CET Cell in Mumbai.
With 46,984 seats on offer and 28,139 admission opportunities made in the first list, further allotments will follow through the subsequent CAP rounds and the open institutional round, the cell said. Candidates taking part in the process have been advised to follow the schedule and instructions issued by the CET Cell for the later rounds and related procedures.
