Police’s Surgical Strike In Sriganganagar: 11 Thousand Drug Pills Recovered

Sriganganagar : Raid on the criminals again on Tuesday morning in collaboration with the Drug Control Department on behalf of the District Police. 180 police teams raided 540 places. 990 policemen were included in this. In the raid, a large quantity of drugs were recovered and the accused were arrested.

He said that this raid was planned jointly by ASP Satnam Singh, Trainee IPS Ramesh, Trainee RPS Sainu Chaudhary, DST Sriganganagar and Raisinghnagar in-charges. In cases of smuggling held for a week, arrests were monitored through social media.

For the first time the teams of the District Drug Control Department were taken along. Data was collected by monitoring several suspected medical store operators. After thorough planning, it was decided that 540 places would be raided. For this, 180 teams of 990 policemen were formed. Trainee RPS, RPS, SHO led these teams.

As part of the campaign, the City Police and the Drug Control Department jointly raided a medical store on Railway Station Road in Suratgarh.

Drug Inspector Amrita Sougara and Assistant Sub-Inspector Birju Singh and other policemen, who arrived from Sriganganagar under the leadership of City Station Officer-in-Charge Krishna Kumar, investigated drugs while interrogating the operator of Vachan Medical Hall in front of Karnani Dharamshala on Station Road. Three types of drugs were found here.

ADC of Drug Control Department, Ashok Mittal said that a complaint was being received for selling illegal drugs at Vachan Medical Store near Subhash Chowk.
17-18 boxes of three different medicines were recovered from Vachan Medical Store. The operator could not show the purchase bills of these medicines on which these medicines were seized. The inquiry proceedings continued till evening and the records on behalf of the firm were also examined.
ADC Mittal of the department said that in the past also complaints of Vachan Medical Store were received. In which intoxicant pills and capsules were being sold illegally by the store.
No illegal medicine was recovered in the raid from Sunny Medica store.
