SPARSH Hospitals is poised to ‘Touch’ with Compassion Lives of Cancer Patients

A New Chapter of Advanced and Integrated Onco Services Begins

Bengaluru: Sparsh (touch) is what is needed too to treat a cancer patient. Care and compassion is the combination that is most efficacious.  SPARSH Hospitals are all in readiness to touch the lives of cancer patients which are alarmingly rising in India. The hospital group is opening a new chapter of Advanced and Integrated Onco Serivices in the city.

In view of the alarming rise of cancer cases across the country and to make advanced, integrated oncology care accessible in Southern India, SPARSH Group of Hospitals inaugurated the SPARSH Institute of Cancer Care at its 300-bed quaternary care facility on Hennur Road, Bengaluru.

The new Institute represents the next chapter in SPARSH’s journey — a perfect blend of advanced medical technology, multidisciplinary expertise, and compassionate care, reaffirming SPARSH’s commitment to Empowering Cancer Care with Advanced Technology and Expertise in Every Aspect.

The Institute was inaugurated by Karunada Chakravarthi Dr. Shiva Rajkumar and Mohaka Tare Ms. Prema, prominent figures from the Kannada Film Industry, in the presence of patrons Justice Shivaraj V. Patil, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India, and Dr. Shekar Patil, Director – Oncology Services, SPARSH Hospitals.

Considering the inauguration Shivraj Kumar, Kannada Actor said “Hospitals play a vital role in restoring hope among patients, especially those battling cancer, as many lose hope during their journey. When I was fighting cancer, it was the hospital, the doctors, my family, the film industry, and the people of our state who gave me strength and renewed my hope.”

The event witnessed participation from leading oncologists, cancer survivors, and dignitaries from the healthcare community — celebrating SPARSH’s formal entry into advanced, integrated oncology, adding a new pillar of excellence to its growing network of super-specialities.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Sharan Shivaraj Patil, Chairman, SPARSH Group of Hospitals said “At Sparsh, we are privileged to have this platform dedicated to the treatment of cancer. Our mission extends beyond treatment — we are equally committed to cancer prevention. The entire Sparsh team will be actively involved in initiatives focused on prevention. Within the next year, we will establish two additional cancer institutes in Bengaluru.”
