UP now has Kidney Transplant Facility in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad/ New Delhi : New Kidney Transplant Block unveiled by Max Super speciality Hospital in Vaishali (Ghaziabad) has filled a healthcare void in UP, the largest state in India. It is the first kidney transplant facility in Uttar Pradesh. Along with it, the block also houses the largest dialysis centre in Ghaziabad with 35 beds. The block will have 8-dedicated rooms for post-kidney transplant patients. Specialized critical care and complete Renal Sciences services will be available now in the state under one-roof.
The 7th floor new block was inaugurated by Mr. Rajit Mehta, MD and CEO, Max Healthcare on October 22. With it, Vaishali is endowed with a complete and dedicated Kidney Transplant Program. Each room has been designed to create a comfortable environment for patients, with state-of-the-art facilities, a central monitoring system, round-the-clock nursing and medical support, etc.
A dedicated team of Urology, Uro-Oncology and Kidney Transplant experts led by Dr. Anant Kumar, Chairman, Urology, Uro-Oncology and Kidney Transplant, will bring world-class expertise to the residents of Vaishali and its neighbouring areas. Dr. Kumar said, ‘Kidney problems have assumed epidemic proportions over the recent years.
In fact, in the past 15 years, the number of Indians suffering from chronic kidney ailments has doubled. This makes it even more critical for patients to have access to quality services in renal sciences. The newly launched Kidney Transplant block at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Vaishali today will do so by strengthening the renal sciences services being provided at the hospital.’
Also, present at the occasion were Mr. Neeraj Mishra, Sr. Vice President, (Operations)- Zone-II; Dr. Gaurav Aggarwal, Unit Head, Max Hospital, Vaishali along with the team of Urology and Kidney Transplant.
