UPSIDA offers plots for pharma manufacturing units in Lalitpur

Lucknow:  To encourage investment in the pharmaceutical industry, the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) launched a project for the allocation of industrial plots under the ‘Bulk Drug and Formulation Pharma Park’ in Lalitpur.

According to officials, the scheme will commence on April 21. The allocation rate for industrial plots will be Rs 1,914 per square meter. Any unit that makes a one-time payment after allotment will receive an additional 2% rebate.

The project is equipped with several key facilities to ensure a robust and secure infrastructure, including roads, a common logistics and commercial area, and dedicated space for commercial activities and logistics operations. The premises will be secured with proper fencing. A system has been developed to reduce waterlogging issues, and a centre will provide rapid assistance during emergencies. Waste management infrastructure with a capacity of 3.53 TPD (Tons Per Day) has been implemented, along with a steam distribution network with a capacity of 75 TPH (Tons Per Hour) for industrial processes.

A 33/11 kV substation distribution network will supply power within the project area. Lalitpur is well-connected via road, rail, and air routes, making it highly strategic for development and accessibility. MDR 35B (Major District Road) passes through Lalitpur, playing a key role in local and regional transport. NH 44 (approximately 44 km away) and NH 539 (around 31 km away) also serve the area. The region is served by Tikamgarh Railway Station (35 km) and Lalitpur Railway Junction (50 km), linking it with various parts of the country. Khajuraho Airport (125 km) and Lucknow Airport (385 km) are major options for air travel.

Additionally, a local airstrip located 50 km from Lalitpur further enhances the region’s development prospects. Interested parties can obtain or download the list of available plots, terms and conditions, guidelines, and application forms from the following websites: [www.niveshmitra.up.nic.in](http://www.niveshmitra.up.nic.in) and [www.onlineupsida.com](http://www.onlineupsida.com).

Chief Executive Officer of UPSIDA, Mayur Maheshwari, stated, “The upcoming Bulk Drug and Formulations Pharma Park in Lalitpur will be a game-changer in the state’s industrial sector. It will enhance self-reliance in the pharma industry and provide modern facilities for businesses.”
