Yashoda Medicity lifts Benchmark in Critical Care to New High

With the introduction of North India’s first Advanced VitalGo Total Lift Bed Technology

Ghaziabad/ New Delhi: In an ideal hospital, critical care is most paramount and it is also the index of its overall superiority. Needless to say, Yashoda Medicity measures up to highest benchmark in all aspects. Its special focus on critical care capability speaks a volume. As quest for excellence is a nonstop process and commitment, introduction of VitalGo Total Lift Bed to its critical care infra lifts its standard to a new high.

To strengthen its advanced critical care capabilities, Yashoda Medicity, the leading hospital in Delhi-NCR, has introduced the VitalGo Total Lift Bed (TLB) in partnership with Paramount Bed. The adoption of this globally recognized technology reflects the hospital’s continued investment in innovations that support early rehabilitation, improve patient safety, and enhance long-term recovery outcomes for critically ill patients.

Unlike conventional ICU beds, the VitalGo Total Lift Bed is an advanced rehabilitation platform designed to provide In-Bed Verticalization Therapy through an integrated Weight Bearing Control System. The technology enables patients to be gradually and safely moved from a lying position to full standing while remaining fully supported within the bed, making early mobilization a practical part of routine intensive care.

Prolonged bed rest in critically ill patients comes with complications such as ICU-acquired weakness, muscle loss, respiratory compromise, delayed rehabilitation, and extended hospital stays. The Total Lift Bed helps address these challenges by enabling multiple daily verticalization and graded weight-bearing sessions at the push of a button. It also promotes functional recovery at an earlier stage of treatment.

Dr Upasana Arora, Managing Director, Yashoda Group of Hospitals said , “Critical care today is focused on survival as well as on restoring function and improving quality of recovery. The introduction of the VitalGo Total Lift Bed reflects our commitment to adopting globally recognized technologies that support evidence-based critical care practices. Moreover, early rehabilitation has emerged as an important component of intensive care, and such innovations enable our multidisciplinary teams to deliver more comprehensive and centered care.”

The Total Lift Bed further supports respiratory recovery by improving lung recruitment, facilitating secretion clearance, improving ventilation-perfusion matching, enhancing oxygenation, and reducing the risk of aspiration and ventilator-associated pneumonia. It also promotes cardiovascular recovery by helping patients gradually adapt to upright positioning, improving hemodynamic stability, enhancing circulation, and reducing the risk of blood clot formation.

In addition, verticalization therapy contributes to improved neurological recovery by enhancing alertness and reducing the incidence of ICU delirium through multisensory stimulation. It also helps maintain skin integrity by reducing pressure injuries associated with prolonged immobilization while supporting overall rehabilitation.

The technology can be used for patients who need mechanical ventilation, ECMO, mechanical circulatory support systems, major cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, abdominal, transplant and spinal surgeries. It is also beneficial for patients with neurological disorders, severe burns, critical illness myopathy, and other conditions requiring prolonged intensive care.
