2400 Banned Cough Syrup Bottles Recovered, 2 Arrested

Saharsa: Based on secret information, the police of Bangaon police station of Saharsa have arrested two persons and seized a Tata Safari car along with a large quantity of banned cough syrup. The police have recovered 2400 banned cough syrup Bottles containing codeine from the arrested persons. Its estimated cost is said to be 7 lakh 50 thousand rupees.

On Tuesday, SDPO Alok Kumar gave this information in a press conference.

SDPO Alok Kumar said that Bangaon police station had received a secret information that some smugglers were going to Saharsa from Baluaha Mahisi police station in a Tata Safari car carrying a large amount of banned cough syrup containing codeine. After this, action was taken and the car was seized near Bangaon Chowk and the cough syrup was recovered.

The name of the arrested businessman is Manish Kumar, son of Nirmal Panjiyar. He is a resident of Gandhi Path of Sadar police station area. The name of the other businessman is Neeraj Kumar, son of Amit Ram. He is a resident of Machhli Market Ward No. 14 of Sadar police station area.
