32 PATIENTS LOSE VISION IN SATNA(M.P)

BHOPAL

32 patients,whose eye operations were performed at SATGURU EYE HOSPITAL, chitrakoot under SATNA district on 24th jan,lost their eye vision.The patients complained to Doctors of losing eye sight.It was not the first such incident of vision loss in the state,infact it was third incident of vision loss of innocent patients in last three months in the state.

SATNA Chief medical and health officer(CMHO) is said to formed an 8 members committee of experts of Doctors to investigate the whole matter.The investigation committee will talk to the patients and the Doctors who performed the operation.

A senior health officer, pleading anonymity,said it was due to carelessness on the part of Docrtor in the eye operation the patients lost their eye sight.In the last three months this was the third incidents of carelessness of Doctors that the patients in eye operation in the state.First 45 patients lost their eyesight after cataract operation in distrct t hospital,BARWANI,Later 17 patients lost vision in district hospital SHYOPUR. And now 32 patients complained of losing vision in Satna district.These regularly happening vision loss has raised many issues relating to the medical standard in the state.
