5,360 Cough Syrup Bottles And 11,600 Intoxicating Injections Seized In Barabanki

Purnia: Police have taken major action against drugs in Banmankhi, Purnia. While conducting a raid on secret information, a huge quantity of Codeine cough syrup and drug injection ampoules have been recovered from a warehouse. Surprisingly, the drug dealers were running this warehouse from a warehouse located right in front of a school.

5360 bottles of cough syrup containing codeine and 11600 ampules of intoxicating injection have been recovered from the warehouse. The price of this consignment of drugs is more than Rs 10 Lakh. The police have also arrested a youth from the warehouse.

Giving information, Banmankhi SDPO Hulas Kumar said that the police received secret information that a huge quantity of banned cough syrup and injections was going to be smuggled from Banmankhi Bal Bharti School Road. This information was given to SP Upendra Nath Verma. After this, a police team was formed on the instructions received. After which the police team raided a warehouse located in front of Balbharti School. Apart from CO Ajay Kumar Ranjan as magistrate, the team included trainee DSP cum station head Shatrughan Kumar Mandal, ASI Barun Kumar Jha, Virendra Kumar Yadav, Rahul Kumar, women constables Chanchala Kumari and Kanchan Kumari.

Seeing the police, a young man ran inside the warehouse with a cartoon in his hand. He was caught by the police from inside the warehouse. During the search, 5360 bottles of banned cough syrup containing 41 cartoons of codeine were recovered from the warehouse. Whose estimated price is around 9 lakhs. Apart from this, 11600 ampoules of intoxicating injection were recovered in 232 pockets from the warehouse. When the police opened the cartoon, they found banned cough syrup and intoxicating injections in the cartoon. Whose price is said to be around Rs 1.1 lakh.

Police have arrested Karan Kumar, a resident of Dheema, Banmankhi, from the warehouse. Besides, a black colored Royal Enfield bullet and a golden colored bullet have also been recovered from the spot. The police are raiding the places on the police radar to arrest drug dealer Bijendra Sah.
