Govt Job: For M.Pharm, MSc to Join Indian Institute of Technology

At present, the institute offers a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) program in the following disciplines:

Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.

This program is spread over a period of eight semesters.

The institute also offers an M.Tech program in several disciplines including Biomedical Engineering,  Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

The institute also offers M.Sc program in the following disciplines: Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.

Additionally, the institute also offers M.S(R) programs in Computer Science and Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

Post: Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow to work on a research project sponsored by BRNS, under the supervision of Dr. Anupam Bandyopadhyay, Department of Chemistry, IIT Ropar, Punjab 140001.

Title of the project: Development of peptide-based infection imaging agents and deciphering interaction mechanisms of novel peptides with model cell membranes

The duration of the project : 3 years.
Project position: One (01) Junior Research

Fellowship amount: Rs. 31,000/month for the first two years and Rs. 35,000/month for the last year as an SRF after the progress assessment by the committee.

Accommodation: Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.

Eligibility requirements :
1. Master in general chemistry or pharmacy (Med. Chem.) and must have a minimum of 6 months of experience in organic synthesis.

If the candidate has additional experience in peptide synthesis will be preferred.

2. Candidate must have GATE score (AIR < 1200) or UGC/CSIR-LS (AIR < 100) or GPAT (AIR < 600).
3. Good documentation and communication skills in English are highly desirable.
