One Arrested With Banned Drugs, Brought In Bus From Maharashtra

Rajnandgaon : Rajnandgaon Police of Chhattisgarh has arrested one with banned drugs. Police have recovered 3600 tablets from the arrested accused. The accused was taking a bus from Maharashtra to Durg to sell tablets. The police have taken action under the NDPS Act. Police are doing further investigation regarding this. The matter is of Chichola outpost area.

According to the information, information was received that a drug smuggler is waiting for the vehicle near Lal Bahadur Nagar Mod of Narayangarh. On this the police laid siege and caught him. During the search, the banned drugs were recovered from the black-brown bag with him. Their price is being said to be 24 thousand 700 rupees.

During police interrogation, the accused disclosed himself as Thakur Ram Patel, a resident of Durg. He told the police that he had bought these drugs from Deori in Maharashtra and brought them by bus and was now waiting for the vehicle to go to Durg. In Durg-Bhilai, he himself would find customers and sell them. At present, the police are also investigating this drug network in Maharashtra. SP Prafulla Thakur said that they are investigating.
