New Delhi: Religare Health Insurance, one of India’s leading health insurers unveiled a comprehensive health insurance plan – ‘care freedom’ that offers coverage to diabetics of all age groups and who are even dependent on insulin.
Diabetes is a lifestyle disorder in which patients experience high blood sugar level over a long period, it is either due to the pancreas not producing enough insulin, or the cells of the body not responding properly to the insulin produced. In both the cases, a diabetic is dependent on the insulin intake and is at a higher risk of developing other life threatening complications, making diabetes an expensive ailment to put up with.

Care Freedom does that by offering coverage without any pre-policy medical check-ups. Not just this, enrolment under the plan is applicable to individuals with multiple morbidities or health complications such as Hypertension, Lipid, Obesity (with BMI <= 37).
Furthermore, the plan covers pre-existing ailments after a short waiting period of just 2 years keeping in mind that most people of progressed age might already suffer from an existing health condition & might require support at the earliest.
