Food Safety Team’s Action: Protein Powder Worth Rs 37 Was Being Sold At Rs 400

Sawai Madhopur: Medical shopkeepers are selling a tin of protein powder worth Rs 37 for Rs 400 and syrup worth Rs 30 for Rs 156 and common people, unaware of the price of medicines, are forced to buy them as prescribed by doctors. Due to the collusion of medical shopkeepers and doctors, this game of plunder is going on and the pockets of the common man are being robbed.

On the orders of the state government, a campaign is being run in Sawai Madhopur under the direction of Sawai Madhopur District Collector Shubham Chaudhary and CMHO Dr. Dharam Singh Meena.

Under the campaign, today the team of the Food Safety Department under the leadership of Food Safety Officer Virendra Singh visited Bajaria. Action was taken at JK Medical Agency, the team seized two Tins of protein powder and 40 syrups for digestion from the medical and drawn samples. The team also took samples of almonds and gram flour from two grocery shops in Bajaria.

Food Safety Officer Virendra Singh said that the team conducted a raid on JK Medical Agency and samples were taken along with confiscating protein powder and syrup. The original price of the protein tin which the team seized from the medical shop is Rs 37, the medical store is selling it for Rs 400, whereas the price of the syrup is Rs 30, they are selling it for Rs 156. The print rate on protein tins and syrups is also the same as the price being sold in the market, whereas their original price is much lower.

This action of the Food Safety Team revealed how the medical store operators, along with the doctors, are robbing the common man’s pocket, the doctors prescribe the medicine and the common man, unaware of the original price of the medicine, buys the medicine from the medical store and gets robbed. The commission of medical agencies, doctors and medical stores is fixed and the common man’s pocket is being robbed.

Looting in the name of medicines is happening not only in Sawai Madhopur but at the state and country level, from pharma companies to doctors, medical agencies and medical stores, the commission is fixed and the pockets of the common people are being robbed.

In Sawai Madhopur, This action of the food safety team is proving that the real price of medicines is something else and how they are robbing the pockets of the common man in the name of print rates in the market.
