• The incumbent will be responsible to establish animal models and assays to support R & D for human viruses
• The candidate should have strong research skills in virology, protein and structural biology to delineate virus-host structure function relationship.

• The candidate should be able to identify his/her top deliverables, finalize projects to achieve results whilst assuming personal responsibility for outcomes.
• The candidate should have strong oral and written communication skills, and is proficient in preparing and running national and international grants and interacting across teams of scientists to move projects towards the clinic. OR

• The incumbent will be responsible to perform experiments to solve the three dimensional structure of various Mycobacterium tuberculosis proteins in complex with various small molecule inhibitors.
• The incumbent will be responsible to study interaction of small molecules with target proteins using computational methods and biophysical techniques.

• The incumbent will be responsible to work on interphase of epidemiology and state of the art omic platforms for complex diseases including preterm birth, fetal growth restriction, young infant sepsis and linear growth

• Working with highly pathogenic viruses like MERS,
• SARS and SARS-Co2 at BSL3/ABSL3 facility.

• A strong background (and publication record) in molecular modelling, structural bioinformatics.

• Research experience in the Molecular Dynamics Simulation and Computational drug discovery projects.
• Familiarity with molecular modelling and visualization packages (e.g. NAMD, AMBER, Gromacs, Schrodinger, Cresset), good analytical and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of organic chemistry.

• Coding or scripting experience (e.g. Python, PERL or C/C++) will be preferable.
