Govt Job: For Research Associate Job under Ministry of Science & Technology | Salary Rs. 54,520 pm

The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, is a leading national institute in India. It is a multidisciplinary institute engaged in advanced research in infectious disease biology, cancer biology, genetics, autoimmune diseases, and plant and microbial biotechnology.

Post : Research Associate-I (01 position)

Applications from Indian Nationals are invited to apply for the following project positions.

Project title : Screening and identification of efflux pump inhibitors to combat antibacterial resistance in multidrug resistant S. aureus.

Fellowship : Rs. 47,000/- + HRA@16%

Eligibility : Ph.D. in any branch of Life Sciences with minimum TWO first author peer reviewed research articles in any science citation indexed journals. Candidates having experience in microbiology, and mammalian cell culture or animal handling will be preferred.

Candidates who have submitted Ph.D. thesis and are waiting for viva voce may also apply. For such candidates, fellowship amount will be that of a SRF until he/she defends Ph.D. thesis.

Selection will be carried out thru application screening, followed by an online interview process.

Initial appointment will be for one year, extendable until termination of the project. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
