Post: Postdoctoral Fellow position in Synthesis of Self-assembled Hydrogels

Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in the synthesis of self-assembled hydrogel for a research project funded by the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar.

Job Description: The candidate will be required to set up the experiments for the synthesis and characterizations of self-assembled hydrogel platforms for drug delivery and clinical applications.

Expertise in chemical synthesis, hydrogel development, self-assembly, cell culture, and microbiology will be preferred.

Prior experience in the development of an animal model for cancer and urinary tract infection is also preferred.

He/she will also have the opportunity to develop advanced laboratory skills (chemical synthesis, self-assembled hydrogels, writing a grant proposal, and working inter IITs).

The candidate should be a highly motivated, continuous learner who is able to work independently and help in setting up the lab.

Eligibility: Ph.D. in Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Material Sciences, etc. allied subject areas from reputed institutes with good scientific publication records.

Candidates who have defended their thesis and can join us immediately are equally eligible for the position.

Duration: Initial appointment is for 1 year, extendable up to 1 more year based on performance

Remuneration: 50,000 INR per month + 10,000 HRA (No HRA will be provided if the accommodation on campus is availed)
