Huge Consignment Of Banned Capsules Recovered From A Pickup Truck, 2 Arrested

Una : It is noteworthy that on the evening of 14 September, the team of Anti Narcotics Task Force Kangra had succeeded in seizing a consignment of about 28 thousand 560 banned capsules being brought in a pickup truck. Based on the disclosure of the arrested people, the police arrested the BJP supported councilor of Nagar Panchayat Gagret, Virendra Sharma alias Bindu, along with the operator of a medical store. After this, the Una police team raided the house of the accused and recovered about 210 boxes of illicit liquor on Saturday morning.

The matter did not end here, the police received information about another consignment of banned and narcotic drugs arriving in the same area, on the basis of which the police team succeeded in seizing about 25 thousand banned and narcotic capsules late on Saturday evening. District Superintendent of Police Arjit Sen Thakur says that the police is continuously taking action in this matter. Separate cases have been registered against the main accused Virendra Sharma alias Bindu in connection with banned drugs and illicit liquor.

Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident. Taking the investigation forward in the case, more people will also be arrested. Whereas SP Una Arjitsen Thakur said that the police will also do a financial investigation of the accused in this case, so that the property collected from this drug trade can be traced.
