One Smuggler Arrested With 188 Injections

Balrampur/Raipur: On the instructions of SP Vaibhav Banker, a campaign against drug smuggling is being conducted at various places in the district.

Ramanujganj Police has achieved great success during this campaign. After receiving information from an informer last Thursday, the police took action and arrested an accused from near Ring Road Karbala on Friday. 188 drug injections have been recovered from him.

According to the information received by the police, Rahul Kashyap (23 years), resident of Ward 12 of Ramanujganj, used to smuggle drugs from Jharkhand. After receiving information from the informer, the police swung into action and started checking operations at various places. After which the accused was caught near Karbala on Ring Road. During the investigation, 188 pieces of intoxicating injection and a Pulsar bike were seized.

Accused Rahul Kashyap was arrested under crime number 185/2024 Section 21(C) NDPS Act and sent to jail.

Due to Ramanujganj being an interstate border, drug smuggling was at its peak here. District’s new Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Banker is running a checking campaign at various places to stop all these activities. Due to which there is a situation of fear among smugglers.
