Pharmacist Practicing Without Degree, 35 Types Of Medicines And Surgical Equipments Seized

Sri Ganganagar: The Medical and Health Department on Monday took action against an illegal clinic and recovered medicines and surgical equipment kept without a license.

The health department team found a pharmacist illegally practicing allopathy at Uppal Clinic and Piles Care Center located at Ravi Chowk in Purani Aabadi.

According to departmental officials, information was received that illegal practice is going on at Uppal Clinic at Ravi Chowk. Then action was taken here under Operation Black Thunder.

On the spot, Rohilanwali resident Rajiv Kumar son of Bhanwarlal Maher was found doing medical activities. On asking, he said that he does not have a degree to practice allopathy. Neither does he have a license to run a clinic. He has completed a course in pharmacists. But without showing the degree, he said that he works at a clinic. His pharmacist degree is with the doctor. Rajiv told during interrogation that Rajat and Ashok Uppal also do medical activities here.

According to Deputy CMHO Dr. Karn Arya and DCO Amandeep Kaur of the Drug Control Department, who were part of the action team, illegal sale of medicines was also found in the clinic. According to Dr. Karn Arya, two cases will be registered.
