Retired Employee Of The Health Department Caught With 1499 Narcotic Cough Syrup

Ballabgarh:  While taking action under Drug Free Haryana – Drug Free India in Faridabad, Faridabad unit has achieved great success in recovering 1499 narcotic cough syrups (Codeine) worth 3 lakhs. Haryana NCB Faridabad Unit Incharge Inspector Manoj Sangwan said that the unit was present at Ferozepur Jhirka village Binwa bus stand in connection with intelligence duty.

The informer informed the team that Mushtaq Ahmed, resident of village Beanwa Noon, sells narcotic cough syrup and keeps a huge stock of narcotic cough syrup in his house. If a raid is conducted, the narcotic cough syrup can be seized.

Immediately, the team of Haryana NCB unit swung into action and took prominent people of the village along and raided the house of the accused. About 13 boxes containing 1499 narcotic cough syrup were recovered from his house.

In connection with which, a case was registered under the Narcotics Act in Police Station Ferozepur Jhirka, Nuh. Haryana NCB Unit Incharge said that the accused is retired from the Health Department and was selling narcotic cough syrup for a long time.

The accused will be taken on remand and interrogated and the main supplier will be found out and he will be arrested as soon as possible, along with other accused will also be arrested soon.

Unit in-charge inspector Manoj Sangwan said that whoever bought this drug from and where it was to be supplied, they will not be spared under any circumstances. A police team has also been prepared for that, soon the seller will be caught and sent behind bars.

He appealed to the general public and said that if you see drugs being sold anywhere, then inform Haryana NCB’s toll free number 90508-91508 without any worry, so that the drug smugglers can be sent behind bars.
