Dr. Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals group pitch, underlined this while unveiling installation of robots in Apollo Spectra hospital in Delhi (pusa road). The event marked the installation of two surgical robots SSIManta and Meril CUVIS.. The presence of Abhinav Bindra Olympic gold medalist sport shooter on the occasion well underscored precision and accuracy being the attributes of robotic surgeries.

SSI Mantra is the only one ‘Made in India’ surgical robot among many imported ones being harnessed in hospitals in India. SSI Mantra being most affordable despite being best in class is giving MNC makers of surgical robot run for their money. Before dawn of SSI Mantra, the question of affordability and accessibility was a major hindrance in the way of best tool for surgery becoming most sought after choice. Apollo Spectra is the third Apollo hospital to embrace SSI Mantra. Apollo proton Cancer Centre, Chennai has achieved India’s first robotic telesurgery for colorectal cancer using SSIMantra.
